Prescribed Burning & Fire Planning/Management

Northeast Forest and Fire Management, LLC has extensive experience in fire ecology, prescribed burning, fire management planning, smoke modeling/management, and fuels management. We excel in the fire management of rare natural communities/habitats in urbanized areas that have highly volatile fuels and complex management objectives.

Prescribed burns are conducted with the highest degree of safety. Our burn boss has many years of fire experience, has conducted hundreds of burns, burned thousands of acres, and is skilled not only in prescribed fire but fire suppression. All prescribed burns follow a detailed prescribed burn plan, prepared using the Interagency Prescribed Fire Plan format.

We are experts in wildland fuels mapping and conducting crown fuel inventories. From collected fuel data we have the ability to generate fire behavior predictions using standard behavior models such as BEHAVE-PLUS, NEXUS, FMAPlus, FlamMap, and FARSITE.

With the results the fire behavior model outputs and the use of GIS, highly customized and detailed Community Wildfire Protection Plans (CWPP) or fuel treatment plans can be created.
